Director of Health & Safety
Full Time | Corporate HQ with travel to Utah and New Mexico operations

Our client is a well-established mining operation looking for an experienced safety leader to take ownership of health and safety across all of their operating sites. This is a senior, enterprise-level role with real visibility and real impact.

If you've built safety programs from the ground up, know MSHA and OSHA inside and out, and are the kind of leader who gets out in the field rather than staying behind a desk, this one's worth a closer look.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead health and safety strategy across multiple sites, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. That means designing and standardizing safety systems, driving compliance, building a proactive safety culture, and being a trusted resource for both frontline teams and senior leadership.

Day to day, you can expect to lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, oversee safety training programs, partner with operations and legal on risk management, and deliver executive-level safety performance updates. About 50% of your time will be spent traveling to operating locations, so a hands-on presence isn't optional here.

What They're Looking For

• 10 to 15 years of experience in safety, compliance, operations, or audit roles
• Mining industry experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and ATF regulations
• Strong leadership presence, someone who can influence at every level of the organization
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred

Compensation

$180,000 to $205,000 base salary, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, bonus programs, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.
