About the Opportunity
Our client is entering a new phase of evaluation and planning after suspending operations to prioritize exploration and technical studies. They're looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function through this stage, building the asset integrity, systems, and team capability needed to support a future restart.

This is a hands on leadership role. You'll work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Technical Services to give site leadership clear visibility into asset condition, readiness risks, costs, and execution plans.

What You'll Do
Restart Strategy & Asset Integrity

• Lead maintenance readiness and restart activities across mobile equipment, fixed plant, and process infrastructure
• Develop and execute maintenance restart strategies focused on asset integrity, refurbishment, and safe recommissioning
• Direct asset condition assessments and build detailed scopes, schedules, and budgets for refurbishment and readiness work
• Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and governance to support long term operational performance

Team Leadership

• Provide direction to maintenance superintendents, supervisors, planners, and technical teams throughout restart planning and execution
• Ensure strong maintenance planning and scheduling processes are in place before restart
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs that support commissioning and ramp up

Budget & Resource Management

• Manage maintenance restart and operating budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and variance management
• Partner with Supply Chain to secure critical spares, long lead materials, and contractor support
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, refurbishments, and commissioning activities

Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records to support compliance, tracking, and lifecycle management
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and readiness metrics, flagging risks and driving corrective action
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout restart activities
• Provide regular reporting to site leadership on readiness, risks, costs, and schedules

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10-15+ years of progressive maintenance experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Experience leading multi disciplinary maintenance teams through shutdowns or restarts
• Solid understanding of maintenance strategies, asset refurbishment, and reliability centered maintenance
• Experience with maintenance planning and CMMS systems (SAP experience is a plus)
• A strong track record managing budgets, costs, and resource allocation
• Experience supporting both mobile equipment and fixed plant maintenance functions
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• A genuine commitment to safety and operational readiness
