Processing Technical Services Manager
Reports to: Director of Process Operations

About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Processing Technical Services Manager to serve as the technical authority for a producing open-pit concentrator operation. You'll lead the Metallurgy, Process Control, Flotation, Laboratory, and Metallurgical Accounting functions, setting the technical direction that drives recovery, throughput, and product quality.

This is a role for someone who wants real ownership. You'll shape metallurgical strategy, optimize flotation performance, and work alongside Operations, Maintenance, and Mine Engineering to make the whole plant run better. What You'll Do
Technical Leadership

• Lead the Metallurgy, Process Control, Flotation, Laboratory, and Metallurgical Accounting functions, providing technical direction across the concentrator.
• Develop metallurgical strategies, technical standards, and operating practices for the milling and flotation circuits.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and technical excellence.

Process Optimization

• Optimize flotation performance, metallurgical recovery, concentrate quality, and reagent consumption to hit production targets.
• Monitor plant performance, analyze metallurgical data, investigate production losses, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Manage laboratory QA/QC, sampling programs, and metallurgical accounting to keep process monitoring and reporting accurate.

Collaboration and Planning

• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Mine Engineering, and Mine Planning to improve plant performance and support operational decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, reagent procurement, and the execution of technical and capital improvement projects.

What You Bring
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 8 to 10 years in concentrator metallurgy, including technical leadership within a flotation concentrator.
• A track record of leading metallurgical, laboratory, or process control teams, with the ability to influence performance across functions.

Key Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of comminution, flotation, process control, metallurgical accounting, and process optimization.
• Experience with metallurgical accounting, statistical process analysis, and performance monitoring systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with metallurgical software and PI/historian systems is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform the physical functions of the role, including climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds periodically.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to communicate clearly by telephone and mine phone/radio, and to hear and distinguish warning alarms.
