We are helping TDG Gold Corp. find some incredible talent to add to their field geology team on a contract basis for this summer. Read further to learn more about this incredibly exciting opportunity!

TDG Gold Corp. (TDG) is a major holder of exploration mineral claims covering over 23,000 hectares in the Toodoggone region of north-central BC. The company views itself as a co-steward of the land, and is proud to have the opportunity to undertake mineral exploration in the traditional territories of the Kwadacha, Tsay Keh Dene, Takla, and Tahltan First Nations.

The company is comprised of a diverse groups of industry professionals, with progressive approaches to partnership, development and community engagement who strive to be leaders in corporate social responsibility. This responsibility entails a commitment to sustainable development, ethical behaviour, community enhancement, long-term strategy, and a desire to be the employer and operator of choice.

TDG’s Toodoggone properties range from grass roots – greenfields level exploration prospects to former past producing advanced brownfields projects with indicated and inferred mineral resources.  Portions of the properties are road accessible and the remainder are remote and require other means of access.

TDG is looking for:

1-2 junior level geologists (3-5 years’ experience)

  • Basic understanding and ability to log and sample drill core;
  • Ability to accurately describe, collect and catalog rock, soil, and silt samples;
  • Ability to enter data, use and manipulate standard Microsoft Office suite software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

1-2 mid-level geologists (5-10 years)

  • Criteria above +
  • experience preferably in volcanic terrains and epithermal systems + some level of exposure to porphyry systems to run the program and supervise the younger Geo 1 types.

This field team will work with a fabulous leader/mentor and skilled Geologist Chris Dail and other  geologists on the TDG team. This years program will entail regional work – lots of flying in helicopters and roaming around and taking lots of spoils, sediment and rock samples in very remote terrain.

Some criteria for interested parties:

  • Able to work and ideally located in Vancouver area
  • Have some level of experience in the field and hopefully with volcanic rocks and are field capable and ready to get dirty, wet, and have some fun!
  • Willing to learn, a bias toward action, and smart enough to take the lead once you get your feet wet so to speak.
  • Open to work long days in remote sites. The nice thing is they have a full camp on a road – not typical of BC sites and makes things relatively nice from a camp standpoint.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in geology, geological engineering or earth science preferred, but may be considered if advanced through junior level (year 3) in an accredited degree program;
  • Ability to work in field conditions including hiking in difficult, remote, high relief terrain during extreme weather;
  • Ability to enter and depart fixed wing and rotary aircraft safely in field conditions;
  • Basic map reading, field traversing and GPS skills required;
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30kg;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Basic computer skills: word processing and spreadsheet software required and some level of GIS experience desired;
  • Willingness to contribute to the exploration and operations efforts;
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team setting;
  • Comfortable working in a remote camp setting for shift rotation.

We will forward resumes & messages from interested parties to TDG Gold.
