Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Specialist /Recruiter with a background in the mining industry to join their team. The HR Manager/Recruiter will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, with a primary focus on recruitment and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of HR and recruitment experience in the mining industry and possess a strong ability to proactively identify and address HR needs within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with local labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding qualified candidates for various positions within the organization, with a specific focus on roles within the mining industry.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and recruitment agencies to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market, including mining-specific recruitment initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers in the recruitment process, including conducting job evaluations, job postings, and interview coordination.
- Conduct pre-employment screenings, including reference checks, background checks, and drug tests, as required.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, including safety and compliance training specific to the mining industry.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and implement HR programs and initiatives accordingly.
- Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Stay updated on relevant HR laws, regulations, and industry trends, particularly in the mining industry, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of HR and recruitment experience in the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations, particularly in the mining industry.
- Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding candidates.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS software.
This position requires relocation to Arizona, a Full Time - On-Site position.
